Upcoming Changes

The City of Saint Paul is upgrading its recycling program.  Changes are coming that will make recycling easier for you!  Get Ready for:

  • Wheeled Carts.  A new single sort recycling cart will be delivered to your home between late November and early January.  It is bigger, has wheels and a lid and will accept even more materials for recycling.    You don’t need to request or sign up for the cart - it’s coming.
  • Alley Collection. Recycling will be collected weekly where trash is collected.  For most Macalester-Groveland residents, this will mean a switch to the alley.
  • Collection day change. Final routes have not yet been determined.  However, Macalester-Groveland will likely have a change to our recycling collection day.  Details will be coming in the mail and delivered with your cart.
  • More items to recycle!  More items will be added to the single sort recycling program including paper towel and toilet paper rolls, cardboard food containers, and refrigerated food boxes.

Recycling Provider - Saint Paul renewed its partnership with Eureka Recycling; they will continue to pick up your recycling.

Program details will be coming soon in the mail and delivered with your cart.
