Community Cleanup on Shepard Road

Community Cleanups are one-day events that allow residents to discard just about anything. District Councils work in partnership with the City to bring together haulers and vendors in one central location and make efforts to reuse or recycle your old stuff for less cost than you would pay a garbage hauler to take it away.

Get your unwanted items ready for Saturday, September 30, 2017 for the community cleanup taking place on Shepard Road between Alton and Davern from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. (Hosted by Highland District Council and Macalester-Groveland Community Council).

Cost is $10-30 per vehicle, depending on the size of load.  There are additional costs for some items, including tires, televisions, and air conditioners. Visit for a map, a complete list of items accepted and the order of drop-off stations. Email with any questions.
