Environment

Mission: The Environment Committee educates and provides accessible resources to Macalester-Groveland and the surrounding community to promote a sustainable lifestyle.

The Macalester-Groveland Community Council adopted a mission to make the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood the "greenest neighborhood in St. Paul" and we would love for you to join us in working towards this goal!

The committee also makes environmental recommendations to the Community Council's Board of Directors on environmental issues. It also helps organize and facilitate regular events and programs, such as the Organics Recycling Drop-off Site, Spring and Fall Clean-ups, the Home Improvement Fair, Eco-Forums, the Native Garden Awards, and MacGrove Moves.

Come join us for Environment Committee meetings the third Thursday of each month from 7-8pm at the Edgcumbe Recreation Center located at 320 Griggs Street S. Lauren Anderson, Recycling and Environmental Coordinator (and staff liason to the Environment Committee), can be reached at lauren@macgrove.org or 651-695-4000.
